This infraction is worth 1 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire."
I receive this message like 4 years ago and I see a lot and I mean A LOT people doing bumping threads, are all moderators gonna make that an infraction? I just wanna know what to expect and to see if is fair for everyone or it is just to some random people
Yes, every user is subject to the same punishments if the rules are not followed.
So why is everyone bumping? And worse, while they bumping they write "bumping", they kind provoke and "you" moderators do something about that? Everyone does like it is a normal thing, I don't know.
In marketplace sections, you're allowed to bump your thread once every 24 hours. In other sections, you cannot. Bumping a thread in which the last post is older than 30 days is also considered a bump.
As a regular member, you cannot see whether a user received an infraction/warning or not. If you see a post where someone bumped their thread against the rules, and it hasn't been dealt with yet, simply press the report button. It'll help us get to it faster.
Infractions and warnings are given at the jurisdiction of the giving moderator. Not all rule breaking posts are required to be dealt with with a warning, infraction, or a ban.
To clarify further, yours was for posting in a thread in which the last date was older than 30 days. Pretty sure the 30 days was different back then, plus or minus, but definitely wasn't a range of 3 years.
