Change your Game Language [Without Region Restriction]

Hello people, A lot of people playing in Europe servers of League of Legends. LoL has restricted choices available for languages on some servers like EU servers. In that way, you will be able to change your game's language ( all over ) in that way. This method will change everything. From Launcher, to In-Game Sounds and Items and everything you can imagine.

Be advised! You will have to re-do this method after any updates.

This is totally safe. This is not against any kind of rules or anything, by side of Riot Games


1. Go to " Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\system "

2. Right Click to "locale.cfg" file and open it with "Notepad" or whatever you prefer. I suggest you to use Notepad because its really simple. I mean, editing is very simple.

3. You will see this " locale = tr_tr " (Its tr_tr on me but it can be different for you. No problem, its based on your prefered language in the launcher/game)

4. Here's the list of Languages ;

en_us : American English
en_gb : (GB) English
es_es : Spanish
fr_fr : French
de_de : German
it_it : Italian
pl_pl : Polish
ko_kr : Korean
ro_ro : Romanian
el_gr : Greek
pt_br : Brazilian Portugese
tr_tr : Turkish
ru_ru : Russian

5. Replace the language you prefer, like " locale = el_gr " or " locale = en_gb " or " locale = de_de "

6. And then, save the file.

7. Open up the League of Legends Launcher, like always you do.

8. If you dont have the sound files/language files of you prefered to use, launcher will download the files automatically.

9. Have fun!
