Graphics Card Upgrade

Looking to upgrade to a newer GPU. Currently have GTX 760 2GB. Can't decide on GTX 960 or R9 280X.

Are either of these cards even worthy of an upgrade?

Fps is a must, I play on 1920x1080 monitor.

Don't really care about Eye-Candy (I can be running low-medium) Just need fps above 70+.

If there are better cards than these two for about the same price, drop me a link and give me reasons why it's better. Thanks for the help guis.

Games I play: GTA 5, DayZ Mod, DayZ Standalone, WindWard, CSGO, League of Legends, APB Reloaded, Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes 2.

Both of the cards are even in price, it depends on what you want. Nvidia cards are sorta more for physics, but good at render too. AMD is good for rendering, but doesn't have a physics software like nvidia.

Well I don't make videos or anything just gaming, so I'm guessing the 960 would be good?

No, 960 or 970 I think. Don't really like AMD too much to be honest.

yeah, just make sure you have decent airflow though

I personally have never bought an AMD card. Looking at how much wattage the R9 280x uses compared to a GTX 960 also doesn't help me buy an AMD Card either lol.

My airflow should be good.

I have 290X I got it on eBay for cheaper than 250$, and I prefer it to a 960, well I say that, but I have never really tested a 960 on my own builds....
