Hey guys, one question about HWID: if I'm HWID banned, I'm not going to get banned on my main account, as long as I don't open it, right?

Or maybe the fact that I haven't been banned on my main account as well means that I don't have an HWID ban?

The "safest" way to test if you have a HWID ban is make a new steam account and buy the game on it, no family share, no nothing. Play it for 2-3 hours and if by then you're still good, you're 90% not HWID banned. If you want to be 100% sure, wait until the next day. When I did this, it took them 2 hours to ban me, mid-game, forcing survivor disconnects even.

I'd say they follow the standard 3-strike method. You were banned twice? Good, you still have a chance to come clean on your main account. But if a ban is too much for you to take and you are not sure, then any way to test it is worthwhile.

Just a word of advice: don't tamper with anything on your main. Want to be safe? Safest way to do it is to not do anything apart from playing the game and forgetting anything about BP, savefile, resource hacking. That way you will not be banned 99.99% (you never know, with BHVR).

Since as far as I understood you got banned a lot of times XD can you tell me if with 3 bans I got a hwid ban? How can I exactly check if I have it or not? Before opening again dbd on my main account I must be sure that I havent got HWIDbanned. Getting banned on my 3 secondary accounts isn't a problem, but if I get banned on my main it surely will.

It's not about "not getting banned anymore", it's about circumventing a hardware ID ban. Change motherboard and the drive you used to play DbD, that'll change the structure of the hardware ID. Also, make sure your IP address is not the same.

There's no guarantee you'll be safe from being banned thereafter, but if you avoid logging into your banned accounts and your main isn't banned (and you followed my advice about using a throwaway to test), BHVR won't have any logs leading to someone who was previously banned and they're very unlikely to check them out.

Dunno. Unlucky. mb you were randomly choosen for checking. Or you were greedy and didn't followed the rules of cheating. Just don't hack too much. You can't make lifetime amount of items and stay invisible.

Yeah by "not getting banned anymore" I meant removing the HWID ban.

Do you want to know what happened on my main? I did like you reccomended me: created a new steam account, bought dbd (I bought a cd key from a website), activated it, played one match. I got banned (and I was like, ok, I was expecting it). Thing is... then I log into my main account and boom, I'm banned there as well. Without even opening the fucking game.. I'm triggered as fuck bro..

I've always followed the guides, and no, I didn't hack my items. Last time I hacked was 2 months ago, got banned now.

Hey guys.. some of you recommended me to buy dbd from the steam store, to check if I'm still hardware ID banned (after something I'm trying to do to unban myself), so that I could refund it, in case they ban me again.

Are you sure that you can refund the game, if you've been banned?
