Ok mate, I got this error just 1 time bcs i changed the size more large then the original, thats why you this error!
also dont convert DTX file in photoshop then open that file in another draw program and then try to convert back in DTX using Photoshop, i tryed too, so just try to edit only in Photoshop and save in DTX format " DTX1" or another 32 bit textures modes..

i have some problems.
When i try to save the file an error comes up:
Could not write DTX image. Valid Height and width values are 8,16,32,64,128,256,512 or 1024.
