I was thinking of posting the whole essay /
try Bored of Studies It's an aussy site designed for our curriculum but I'm sure if you post the essay question they'd be happy to give some advice.
Yes, i've noticed that. The people that learn English as a 2nd language, or british and australian people etc; seem to learn real good english. Apparently, I feel like Americans will need to turn E-Slang, Meme's, and Urban Slang to a whole new language because of the obstruction it has put upon one of the most common languages in the world. bye mate, have a good nights sleep, nice to have a little chat with you
Yeah. In Australia we learn to carry ourselves when we speek. Sure using slang is fine but in most cases we tend to rather use good English. Some Americans do the same but I think the majority obtain this bad habit fromn their upbringing. Anyways I have to go to bed :P Ill catch yah later.
I see.... Your English vocabulary is amazingly larger than those of even 17 - 20 year old Americans, slackers or the scholarly, doesn't matter. Just averagely better. I can't think about anything else but that massive lack of decent literacy in American Teens. I swear I've seen 11 - 15 year olds from other countries that have English as a 2nd language that speak, read, and write way better than Americans. What a disappointment, soon they'll all have to learn sign-language and will fuck up on that too.
Yeah my English teacher is like God when it comes to teaching. His vocabulary is astounding and when he speaks you can help but engage with him. It's almost impossible to get distracted when he is speaking.
Yea, some textbook teachers have taught me a lot, though it's rare nowadays. I like a lot of teachers that teach off their mind and really dig into the real stuff. Though English, etc; that involve true Reading are really boring imo, but my current teacher is amazing. She has a good pattern of work, the concepts / words just change weekly.
lol. Well some textbook teachers are good. It all depends on how they engage with the class. My economics teacher is a textbook teacher but he engages the class very well.
Lol, shit. I have the same Science teacher as last year because she has degrees to teach in more than just Physical Science and Biology, though she doesn't want to teach Chemistry because she's a textbook teacher.
Thats exactly what I think, but my school uses a rotation system. So you don't get the same teacher twice. It's stupid.
Lol. so it was a better teacher than the current one? Gotta switch em man, I think Final Year teachers should be the best, just to finish the high school year with great education and a bang
Yeah exactly. Back In year 10 there were more experiments than theory work and I came first in my year and got 89 percent for the School Certificate Exams. But I don't have that teacher anymore :P
I see, I think only Physical Science and Biology should include textbooks unless real experiments (i hate environmental experiments) are open for the taking. Though Chemistry should definitely 100% include experiments :/
Definitely the teachers. I used to have a passion for Science but I lost it when I realized my new teacher liked textbooks more than actual experimenting. If i chose one of the Visual Design electives it may have been more beneficial.
Jeez, what a disappointment brother. Are the courses / classes you've taken just plain boring, or the teachers don't even make it worth learning?
Like in Australia to go to university you recieve an Admissions Rank based on the average mark of your final exams. To do an economics course you need at least 90. Chances are I'll only get 60. Mostly because I've lost interest in all of my subjects except for Economics.
Oh wow, interesting. Damn, lots of money in that. What do you mean by marks? --
Definitely something in Economics. My teacher says I have a natural grasp on economics and that I can do well in that path. Plus there is good money in it to. The problem is that I'll have to wait a few years before I can study it in University because my marks wont be high enough to go straight in next year.
:/ - damn . I just don't want to screw up my college degree. as in, enter, choose my major, and then fuck around with it halfway through. My sister had spent over thousands of dollars and she has a minor in Teaching/Education with a Major in Anthropology. Apparently she lost interest in Teaching, and she's been in college long enough to get her Masters. :/ - What are you current thoughts on your careers besides GD
Yeah true. I've been like that for the last 5 years. It's only now that I've figured out what I wanted to do and even then I might change my mind later on.
Wow, that's some hardcore style graphic design. :/ - for the past decade that i've been asked what i wanted to do, i've never made a set goal. even at this age, sadly. I might further my knowledge in graphics design sometime this year or next year to prepare for a local job for making commercials and / or ads. I've thought about teaching English too, because some aptitude tests have said I should either work with computers, or teaching others. I have no idea when it comes to a sudden answer :/
Definitely something in Graphic Design. I hope to make a living out of making sweet designs like BrandonHeart If I can't I'll just do freelancing. What about you? Surely someone as mature as you has some sort of ambition :P
:L damn I still have 2 years to go. Could graduate on 2012. Good luck What you plan on doing as your career?
Yeah I hate maths. Lucky for me I only have 4 weeks of school left then I've finished.
I'm stressed with Easter Island homework, and basic Algebra 2 Homework which I cannot even find simple because of the fact that I've been slacking off a bit due to classes being boring or hot :/
