Never said it was choked up, i said it is dying. That in itself is true. C++ is taking over. There is no need to get angry about it, there is no argument C# IS dying, it's not my fault but it is happening. Oh and regarding the "you do something better" i am doing something better. C++.

Follow this tutorial for Global hotkeys, I was going by your current code.
This is a better approach, and with top to bottom vb.net and C#.net , you should be able to understand what is going on because you understand vb.net

also, for working with applications that won't allow the standard methods (most do) you may want to also learn how to do low level keyboard hooks, which are great when working with Direct X applications, because you can hook the keyboard into a application that you can't typically access with a c# or Vb application
