Tell me what why06? Is it already done before/useless?
  7. Well I understand C++ is not super easy to program applications. I do plan on using .NET stuff too when developing windows, but I think to some extent Microsoft short-changed C++. When you look @ Apple they tuck with Objective-C and to some extent that may have helped. Personally I plan on learning as many languages as possible, but maybe if they focused less on making new languages and more on their OS internals windows could have a sleeker appearance. Hell, but if they stick with .NET I'm fine with that too. just stick with something before making some whole new framework.
  8. I don't think MS cares about C++ ( No offense) notice how they keep coming out with new IDE's all of them focusing on every other language. WebMatrix, Visual Web Developer, Web Expressions , all these are new (past couple years to date) for asp.net, html. Then there is lightSwitch, Asp.net, Visual Basic & Csharp, Windows 7 Development SDk and a few others focusing on vb.net and C#. They have java developers, F# developers however they can't manage something as simple as a decent compiler for C++, sounds more like laziness to me.
  9. Nah, Like I said in the post afterwords, I was going by the error message itself and 9th grade C++ & Design Course in High school (however back then it was ugly old borland.....).

@ Vb, C#, Asp.net, F# or pretty much any other IDE in VS that i use often, almost no real random compiling errors, there are some stupid obvious warnings that I tend to ignore.... like...

"The Function Get_Numbers does not return a value on all paths and a null error may occur"

In which I say, no shit sherlock....!
  10. Let me know, I would assume you thought of that, but to be sure, I added my opinion.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. This is, I repeat, the best way of life to be found on the road the world has been taking. This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron."
- Dwight D. Eisenhower
