Wii U Thoughts?

We finally have a good amount of info on the Wii U, so are you guys going to buy it when it comes out?

I for one have mixed feelings. I want to buy it but the tech might not be significantly better than the current gen systems, but I really want to try playing games in a new way with the gamepad.

I might get one if more games were coming out during launch. But so far I'm only interested in ZombiU.

That looks actually quite nice. Might get it if I have the money. Very cool. Seems kinda like a Nintendo DS or whatever though. The gamepad itself.

From what I've read most people are thinking, "NINTENDO? BAD GRAFIX?!?!?!?!". While the Wii U is not a graphical powerhouse, it is the first one to have something innovative that could bring other genre into console gaming which weren't possible before, and make games more immersive or convinient. I just hope this system doesn't fail because it is overshadowed by the ignorance of graphics junkies.

For what you said about more games, 50 games are coming out for the Wii U on launch, a lot of them are the garbage that publishers pump out every year, but there are still a decent amount of good games.

GAMES

Well yeah there are a lot of game coming through, but most are just ports. What I'm interested to see are games that are built from the ground up to utilise the technology. ZombiU so far (from what I've seen anyway) has been the most impressive. I guess we will see in the first few months of release whether developer know how to use it's potential.

Oh and I'm looking forward to seeing Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, even if it's only a slight upgrade. If it's good it may be worth shelling out tree fiddy.

I've been interested in it since the first announcement. I've ALWAYS loved Nintendo Consoles (I grew up playing N64,Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advanced (SP), Gamecube, DS, Wii, and 3DS). So I've always been a big fan. My favorite game\game series ever is the Super Smash Bros. series.

That plus the fact of how awesome the Wii U looks in general means, YES, not only will I be buying it, but it will definatley be the first (and maybe even the only) console I'll buy next generation.

I would sell it if I were you and try and use that money to help buy the WiiU; although the WiiU is around 300 dollars.
