WP7 development now has (limited) Visual Basic support
What does this mean?
Everything to a vb.net developer!
Two downfalls (for now) is developers must have and use Visual Studio 2010 Professional or higher. Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone is not supported, but this may change in the near future.Originally Posted by Larry Lieberman Of Microsoft

The other downfall is developers can only use Visual Basic for Silverlight WP7 apps. That means that Visual Basic developers can't build Windows Phone 7 applications in XNA,however, I am still very excited about this idea.
It seems to be the beginning of a great start for Windows Phone development with vb 2010, and with all the great applications and avenues available for Windows Phone 7 I not only see great potential for vb developers and great applications, but I see some good opportunities to make some of the applications released here into a mobile version and possibly a financial avenue for some.
You can download the add-on here.

Once you do, you will have some new templates added to your new projects window.

I say have fun and I urge everyone to make some great releases, and some tutorials for new members or developers new to this concept.
If you learn something new for yourself, go ahead and teach it to others.
good luck have fun
Ah we-a blaze the fyah, make it bun dem!
What's windows phone 7?..
It will never get as popular as iOS
Android has already surpassed IOS, So who knows.
iOS is nothing special. All my friends who have iPhones jailbreaked it and put android themes, etc
Hahahaha. Hilarious!
It is true however, WP7 has a future in the market, and with android selling more devices (granted the OS in on more devices) and the Market increasing fa beyond Apples App Store, IOS is nothing more then a FAD. Look at it this way, IOS has barely changed and with each Android release there are major changes, Android can be found on Tablets , GPS's systems, Net Books, Phones etc. WP7 will do the same (IMO).
I am still loyal to Steve Jobs =^_^=

?? There are already numerous phones with WP7 and so many more announced.
IOS limited to I-Devices , Android and WP7 can be found on a flurry of devices.
it's a no brainier really. I-phone is nothing more then a FAD, the concept of the I-Phone killer is long gone, A new age has risen.
