Tips on avoiding VAC bans on alts.

Hello, everyone. Been a lurker here for a while. Sadly, I was VAC banned on my main account (used an un-updated version of LMAOBOX), decided to call hacking quits, and used my old idle account to play.
For a while it was fine, until I was VAC banned again.
How did they know my account was an alt?
Could they do it via name, IP, or email?
If so, what are some precautions on not getting VAC'd on a new account?

For the record, I used the same email for my alt, so that's probably how it was banned as-well.

if your use Gmail then i think some where you can use the same email but use a name like this

MAIN:Bob@email.org

Alt:Meh@email.org These alts will goto Bob@email.org
Alt2:lol@email.org

VAC doesn't ban users until they use some sort of hacks. They might know that it was your alt account, but they never ban users manually.

There was a rumors that gir489 has packed lmaobox with AnyDVD software, anyDVD injects to every process on the system (except Windows Files i guess) . That means you downloaded the modified version of lmaobox or you just used another hacks on your alt account. I've used tons of coded hacks on f2p accounts with random email, and yet im still safe from getting VAC'd. Btw, Valve claimed that they never ban same users twicely if they don't hacking again
