Want to know how to mod?

Well here is a Tutorial that will help you get started. Be for we start you will need Photoshop. You can use Gimp but I have PS. You can download it here.http://www.mpgh.net/forum/40-photosh...shop-free.html

This tutorial will cover Login Screen's Badge's Kill sounds name card's and spray. How to open them and how to save them so they will work. Lets get started!

Tutorial one Login screens:

You can find the Login file in C:/Program Files/Z8Games/rez/UI/UI_Login/

Here is ever thing you can open and edit. Just click the name for a pic of what it is.

Now there are 3 for exit so when you edit one of them just change the name and over right them. There is also 3 for the Okay just change the name and over right them as well.

Now how to save them so they will work. After you make a login that you like what you do is when you save it save it as the same name like if you just opened Loginbg and edited that when your done with your work and you save it save the name as Loginbg. Then you go to C:/Program Files/Z8Games/rez/UI/UI_Login/ and save it in there.

Tutorial two Kill Badge's. To find this look in C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\UI\Mark

Now this one doesn't really need a link to the pic because it says what it is in the name. So just like editing the login you do the same for this one save it as the same name and over right it when your done.

Tutorial three Kill sounds. Your sounds can be found in C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\Snd2\english\Message This is a two part tut this part is for the guy toons.

Okay so you got some cool kill sounds but you don't know where to put them go to C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\Snd2\english\Message and you will see all the sounds like drop and plant and kill 1 and kill 2 all of them are your In game sounds for when you do things like get a kill. To save a sound you would like to use rename it to what ever guy you have like this at the end of the sound it has BL GL BL_C GL_C now I think the C ones are the new black guy. To save the sound you would like just rename it to what ever guy you have if you don't know what guy you play as just copy the sound 4 times and rename it but don't for get the change the BL or GL at the end. If you do it right it will ask you to over right it just click yes and when you go in game and get a kill you will here your new kill sound.

Part two this is if you play with a girl to find the girl sounds go to C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\Snd2\woman\Message and do the same you would with the guy tut.

Tutorial four name card's. name card's can be found in C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\UI\NameCard

For this Tutorial I will use a gp one and it's one i think people get all the time because I have it for 800 days

NameCard2 editing this is just the same as the login just edit it name it the save and over right it.

Also NameCard7 is the GM one if you would like to rename that to NameCard2 and don't for get you can edit any name card you want but you will not see it unless you have payed for it.

Tutorial five spray. Spray can be found in C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\UI\Spray

Now if you look at my old Tut you will see it's long as fuck but I seen it would take that long if I just would have opened it 1st with gimp

this is just the same as the NameCards and login. Other people will not see it just you also you only see the name card to. Don't for get you have to buy the spray that you edited to see it in game.
