    hard drive help...

    so, apparently u can flash the 120GB Western Digital Scorpio (WDGWD1200BEVS) to work on the xbox 360.
    but i have a WD800JD 80GB.
    can i flash this one to work on the xbox?

    I would say try it and see what happens But if you mean by flash it configure it to the xbox then you should have no problem

    If you can (which I doubt) then you can only use 60GB of the allocated 80 on the drive. I don't see why you shouldn't try, but no guarantees it will work.

    I'm not sure for the xbox harddrive, as I've never bothered to open it or mod it in any way, but I know there's two general sizes for the xbox: Torx 8 and Torx 10. Might as well get them both, I'm sure it'd be only about $10 or less.

    i read a tutorial and it said T6 .
    and for the actual Xbox dissemble, its T8 or T10.

    .....might as get all 3.

    Eh, one reason why I've never bothered with it. Eventually MS will open their USB support to larger than 16GB, so modifying the Xbox HDD itself will be pointless.

    highest GB's on a USB i ahve seen is 32.
    i have like 30 gigs of video and music.

    You do know you can stream that media from your PC to your console? It would be tedious to have to transfer all that data to a USB. And as for size goes, you do know you can use an external HDD with your xbox? Hence why I said it will probably be increased in the future.

    I Have heard that you can only configure a maximum of 16 GB from usbs to your Xbox

    Exactly. With the increase in the use and portability of external HDD's, Microsoft will more than likely open it's doors to a large storage space. The 16GB was a leap itself.
