Okey, well.

my friend has asked Steam-Support about the mod hosting in mw2.

And he got alot info back:

Short told:

He asks: Are mod Hosting allowed in mw2.
Steam : No

He asks: But if he makes it as no Prestige or stat change server?
Steam: Well, we asked Activision and they say "That this is ilegal"

He asks: BUT if he makes it so no one get extra things but just change the game play itself, will it then be leagl to host then? ( give us the advantage over the other players )
Steam: Well, they you don't break the rules.

Well, have to thrust what they say.

I have been hosting for soon 6 months and no ban. thats 1/2 year.....

And I havent been Stat changing much. AND why would they ban for stat change. when EAM is not bannable. ( After what i hear and know )

So I guess they who inject things get banned for change the game affect or so.....

( Sorry but, I would say that people that don't think before they act. Is an good example of people that get banned..... )

BTW, I think you look of VAC as a person or so...
Its a computer software thing...
So it looks for overpowerd players or injected things. Like changing the game byte....

Like when you Wallhack, you activate some ports and so in the game to get the players location and then draw the box... ( Even that sounds easy to avoid.... )
And aimbot is the worst of the 2 mots used hacks.
Cuse that will go deeper into the game and so...
And that is more detectable.

Then they choosed steam...

Well, I would just say. Steam is a connector. Connects player and one of the players get the host.
So I would not say Steam host games for us.

no shit vac is automated, everyone knows that.
what lolbie is saying is if your doing what is not usually part of the game, you will obviously get banned. these mods and stat hacks are not PART of the game, there 3rd party attachments for the game, and now what your saying is vac is not run by a person so how can they chose whether your mod is okay to not to be banned by?..

VAC doesn't care if you use a Sniper mod or a Stat chagning/unlock everthing mod... It bans you if it want too...

I have been modding and using every single hack for MW2 posted on this site. I have changed my stats via the console, i have hosted many challenge lobbys because that is the only thing people want...

But i am still not banned, it's around 6 months ago i started using hacks and such

I have been banned on another account after two months and on that i only used simple mods.

My point is that VAC is Kinda random...
