I used to script, and now I can't change my key

I used to hack on my account, like, 2 years ago. I got banned, justly, so I bought a new key from Steam. I used to be able to successfully change CD keys (through regedit / Darky ) and prevent Steam from re changing the key, and it worked.

Now, when I log in, I get kicked for the global ban on my old cdkey (same #). I check the registry, and it's my new (confirmed unbanned) key.

This started happening only today, after I updated to the new beta patch / new commander, as I hadn't played for a while. Anyone know if you have to change cd keys differently now?

After the recent update Steam will automatically updates to your old key.

Steam doesn't have permission to do that in the registry, though

This is happening to me to, every time I change my cd key I get the global ban msg even though they aren't banned (checked with darkys cd key changer)

Any fix?
