Hi friends,
I was bored, see that nobody seriusly cares about real Crossfire Rez Moding, only Killmarks badge etc.
I have been working on it for over 2 weeks now, and it's not even finished.
I just thought i could release it for now, and get an opinion on what you guys thought...
I know how to read hex strings of REZ files, extract files from it and inject them back.
But they were detected by CF as being " REZ FILE CHANGED" closing the game, as file check
We need some rez modbypass like in CA:

So... if in case, they decide to share that RezExtractor and how to bypass file checker...
I'll share also my rez files too..
I figured out how to extract some model meshes, many sounds, all textures directly from Crossfire .REZ files using hex edit,
selecting offset values wich contains the objects inside "the format is ****B mesh" there are 3 types of LTB:
- 1st simple that contains simple low poly weapons with animation, characters model/chars body on Buy menu, menu inventory;
- 2nd are all rest that we see on playing into 1st person view, they contains the hands and PV weapons.
The length of the LTB header/ending isn't fixed. So I wouldn't know what to paste corectly.
-3rd , are maps building models , i cant open them...with some application
LTB model format is supported on all Crossfire games version:

Hashing the headers to filenames, width and height works quite well now. Just needs some more tweaking I think.
Still it would be much nicer if we'd know the structure of the ****B ender.
Especially that variable length thing confuses me, since I can't find any bytes that would indicate the tail of the end.
I tested this models on many programs that suport LTB/LTA/LTC formats on this applications:
- TRON tools resource.
- LTB2LTA, maded for Combat Arms and AVP2 games, both game use same MONOLITH LithTech Resource Files
- LTB2X (is LTB model conveting to directX file ,developer Cotty) that can be imported on many CAD appl. like Deepe Exploration, 3Ds Max 5 etc.
- Model Edit MSC application of Drigien developer, import LTA,LTC files with all scheleton bones, animation , child Models, weight sets etc.
- Milkshape , imports LTA models/scheleton bones, animation perfectly, alternative way to import models in 3ds Max is via SMD plugins..

Known bugs and problems
Textures/models can be the biggest problem. If after update new patch the offsets gone be updated evry time.

This is not much usefull for modding yet, since we havent an Baypass hack for file checker

Alternative way how to extract models also textures , i use 3DRipperDX application trick that intercept virtual data.
Since crossfire game use DirectX application and Shaders.
*I think there are many triks to know about this..xD

Rez files will be uploaded on another site..bcs the size is over 100 MB lol..
Im working on it...
