Steam account

Hi guys so let me get straight to it.

My friend some how managed to hack my steam account as a joke to post some comment ( thats what he said anyway), now a when I play my cod games on steam I have noticed everything has changed like my gun classes my level prestige etc. So now I am so pissed at this guy so I want to hack his steam account and do the same thing to his account, heres the thing I know his steam login user name and I know his gmail address. When he hacked my account the only information he had was my steam user name and my steam email, so how did he do it? Did he use a gmail hacker or something?

Advice would be appreciated guys thanks

( note I already used trainers for some of my cod games to regain my rank and prestige).

Could a mod please close this thread already found a method for obtaining the email password which works without any programs.
