Why do I get the feeling that you are just doing this so you can take ideas from other people?

I gotta say that I prefer to play production server over private servers for the following reasons.

1) There are players who dont hack, this means I will have an advantage over them by hacking.

2) The server is funded through its player base, that means no random database wiped / massive loss of time.

3) Massive player base

4) Due to proper funding proper bandwidth to player ratio can be maintained. Unlike a private server that eventually will over populate and lag.

5) Support, granted its nice you want to be an awesome private server but you'll never provide support to 100's of players without a solid team. (might happen at first but when you gotta deal with tons of complaint tickets your free unpaid support team will eventually quit).

6) Stable Market, sadly by allowing custom content you allow monster unbalancing of the game way worse then duping could ever produce. Hell look at the price of life in prod... 1 Life = 6 Def and I got 50+ life pots with like 10 mules still full of UT's. Duping only made the economy more stable. God I love perma death games full of kids who run around carelessly. Go research Armor Break before running around with 30 Life worth of gear on you silly warriors you will live 50% longer.

Wow did you fail to read any of my post or did you just skim it and go all forum Llama on me?

In rebuttal to your list specifically:
1) I was claiming I would have an advantage on the people who do not hack. (I am here because I hack)
2) Still funded never the less (private servers are weakly donated to at best)
3) Goto Realm eye and skip around on the char page. Look at last seen or goto players by rank there's 1000's not 100's
4) Sorry if you lag, I don't. I have played around the world and rarely lag (California, North Carolina, Japan, Germany, Guam, ETC)
5) My support tickets are placed into real money issue or technical issue and I avoid using inflammatory remarks. My average wait time is 24-48 hours before solved. Requested dual founder last week and it was granted in about 48 hours.
6) I have been playing a long time as well my friend, a stable market doesn't mean items get more rare or stay high in value. By stable market I simply mean that release of new content is controlled to a point (granted these Kabaam whores put everything in the RL money market). Being stable also implies that there is a constant flow of items at a known price. When you goto a P server no one knows how many Juggers are in the economy therefore they may be worth 1 def pot for all anyone knows. My comparison of market economy had nothing to do with real life money value either.

7) Most important point of it all: Wiped accounts and items to zero IE: Deleting an entire servers worth of character info. Is just unlikely on production servers, on a private server the data isn't maintained by a company with vested interest in profits. It is maintained by Johnny down the street who could wipe your account at any time.


(please try to make a valid argument next time rather then blather Strawman fallacies all over the place)
