[TUT] FIND MY EXE... AND MORE

Ok hah, so my first issue EVER in Vb.Net, I have to admit, was finding my EXE.

But im over the noob days, here to help you.

FINDING THE EXE FILE

After making your project its very simple.

Click Build, then Build [Project Name]
Afterwords

Go to Documents folder.
Go in Visual Studio 2008 folder.
Go to Projects Folder
Go to [Project Name] Folder.
Then again Go to [Project Name] Folder.
Go to Bin
Go to Release.
Click [Project Name].exe
Thats your Application.


CONFIGURE YOUR APPLICATION [IMPORTANT]
In your project on the right you will see My Project. Click it.

Make sure you change the

• Assembly Name
• RootName (No Spaces in name)
• Icon

Click Assembly Information and change

• Title
• Description
• Company
• Product

If you dont do the above, your program will look like this

My first problem was not learning VB myself and just copying/pasting codes XD
But seriously.. FINDING YOUR .EXE WAS A PROBLEM?

Well this kinda helped. you see, when my .exe is in the release folder, i can see the icon. BUT, when i copy it on to my desktop it has the default app icon. Here's a pic. my icon is on the left and the .exe is on the right.
