First you want to make sure you have the correct Java Development Kit (JDK) on your computer.
Go to Java SE Downloads - Sun Developer Network (SDN)
It should have the first option as "JDK 6 Update 20 (JDK or JRE)"
On the side click the Download JDK button.
Select the platform type of computer you have
Then hit the download button
A screen like this will pop up.
Just hit at the bottom "Skip this step"
A download will pop up looking somewhat like this.
Continue with the download until you are finished.
Now you need Tortoise SVN, so go to the link below.
TortoiseSVN downloads | TortoiseSVN
Scroll down until you see something that looks like this.
Choose 32 Bit or 64 Bit. (Whatever your computer runs.)
Wait until a download like this appears..
Save it and install it.
Now all you need to do is set up the RSBot folder.
Go to your desktop or wherever you wish, and right click..
and go down to the option SVN Checkout.. Your settings will not be the same as mine, so I will show you what mine looks like and tell you the right settings.
These are my settings.
What you will want is the following:
URL of Repository: svn://dev.rsbot.org/rsbot/trunk
Checkout Directory: It will automatically fill in.. It is wherever the folder will go.
Checkout Depth: Fully Recursive
Revision: (Dot this in) HEAD Revision.
Click okay and a box like this will show up.. (will take approximately one minute)
Then open your RSBot folder. (wherever you used the SVN Checkout at.)
The folder should have the following inside.
Click Compile.bat inside and a box will show up and a lot of words will show up. Wait until it says "Press any key to continue." and press any key and it will exit off. (May take a minute)
Note: Or it will pop up with words like "Finding JDK" "Compiling Bot" "Compiling Scripts" and it will disappear.
Then there are two ways of starting it..
Go into Rsbot folder, then go into data and click on the Rsbot.jar icon.
Or go into the Rsbot folder, then look for the Play.bat file.. A command box should appear, and then just disappear.. Then Rsbot should start.
Running the Scripts
First you must create an account on the bot.
Go up to the top where you see the tabs (File, Edit, View, and Help)
Go into Edit and click on accounts.
Click on add at the bottom.
Put in your username and password. Click on Pin if you have one and put it in.
Up in the top right corner there is a icon that says run scripts.
(By the way. Yes, I do know my stats suck.)
Pick a script that you want (you must walk to the spot by yourself.)
For an example I am using RawR's Ivy Chopper.
Set the settings to what you want and click "Ok"
You will notice up at the top right corner there will be something by run script called User Input.. Basically when it is a red dot if you click on the bot you cannot affect it in any way, but if it has a green check mark you can control it while it is botting.
Note: The bot updates itself. Basically whenever Runescape updates Rsbot needs to update the bot. Whenever a new update comes out. It will tell you and you will download it.
Happy Botting
