[Help] RotMG Proxy Server

RotMG Proxy Server

Hello
It's been a few weeks since I've been unable to connect to the proxy server. All it shows in red is:

Socket-Server error #2031
Connection failed! Retrying...

I've tried pretty much everything that I could do in my power to fix this, but I still cannot connect.
I've also seen a bunch of threads relating to help on the Proxy, but they're all about coding and computer language, which I know none about.

Could anyone help me fix this problem? All I wanna do is connect to proxy but I haven't been able to for the past few weeks.
If anyone has information or can help me fix this, I would be grateful.

Is Realm Relay or K Relay even running?

Your problem is most likely one of the following:
1) Your client cannot connect to your proxy (proxy does not accept connections or client connecting to wrong port or maybe even IP)
2) Your proxy cannot connect to one of the servers(proxy sending packets to wrong IP/Port or maybe some kind of other issues that makes the proxy not send anything)

Could you paste the logs from the proxy here? It would be much easier to determine the problem when you can see the logs.

What are the logs from the proxy? Is it the red error text? Sorry but I have completely no experience dealing with coding and computers and such.

Most probably an outdated RR.

Yeah, @BaldBuddha, your problem is most likely in the packet Id definitions. This would easily explain the reason why the proxy doesnt work, so what you need to do is either mess around with JNPP (wait nevermind he removed it...lmao)...well since i cant find JNPP, there are only two ways for you to get rr packet ids up to date: the first one requires you to rabcdasm the client, and the second one requires you to just go check out iObsidian's(@Alde) github repo with up to date RealmRelay.

P.S.
You can get K Relay instead and have no issues with packet ids

Sorry, you guys are making zero sense to me. I really don't understand anything. So if I use K Relay, I can connect to the Orape proxy? And how do I get K Relay?

Okaaaaay.
There are 2 public proxy available for rotmg

* Realm Relay, aka RR
* K-Relay

Your realm relay is probably OUTDATED for at least one reason, if not TWO.
Proxy manipulates network packets.

They all have a unique type associated with an UNIQUE NUMBER, and a structure.

Suppose the TEXT (arbitrary name) packet ID is 1 , and it contains 3 elements : a recipient name, the text of the message, your own name

1)On each update kabam changes the number associated with each packet type (I.e ID for TEXT can be change to 2). This fuck the proxy -> he cant recognize the packet type because of the wrong number.

This is the reason why there is a config file in Realm Relay where the ID are written. I created JNPP to scan the swf and create this file for you

2)Sometimes, Kabam makes changes in packet structure. They often add or remove random elements to the HELLO packet in general. You can say "they change the shape of the packet"

If the shape changes it wont fit in the old hole.

->You have to recode the proxy or find an updated source.

OR JUST USE K-RELAY

Make sure your proxy is actually fully working before trying to connect.

Also, does anyone know if notifiers will work on K Relay?

To install and use K relay, please read the instructions in the topic and watch the video (with sound)

I suggest you try K relay, but for a conventional java realm relay

try using the IObsidian Realm Relay.
