Russian hackers 'accessed Obama's unclassified emails'
Russian hackers who gained access to the White House computer system last year were able to read President Obama's unclassified emails, the New York Times has reported.
It said the breach was far more intrusive than previously admitted.
Officials have conceded that sensitive information was in the unclassified system the hackers accessed.
The discovery of the hacking in October led to a partial shutdown of the White House email system.
Highly secure
"The hackers, who also got deeply into the State Department's unclassified system, do not appear to have penetrated closely guarded servers that control the message traffic from Mr Obama's BlackBerry, which he or an aide carries constantly," the New York Times said.
The paper quoted White House officials as saying that no classified networks were compromised, and that the hackers accessed no classified information.
Many senior officials have two computers in their offices, one which works on a highly secure classified network and another for unclassified communications, the paper said.
But it said that officials have conceded that the unclassified system often contains information that is considered highly sensitive, including schedules, email exchanges with ambassadors and diplomats, debate about policy and forthcoming personnel deployments and legislation.

Indonesia issues execution orders
At least three of 10 people on death row in Indonesia for drug smuggling have been given formal notice of their imminent execution.
Two Australians, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran, and a Philippines woman, Mary Jane Veloso were notified by Indonesian officials on Saturday.
Under Indonesian law, convicts must be given 72 hours' notice of execution, but no formal date has yet been set.
The appeals process for a French national is still under way.
The group is being held on the prison island of Nusakambangan.
Nearly 1,000 are known to have died in a powerful earthquake in Nepal, with many more feared trapped under rubble, officials say.
The 7.8 magnitude quake struck an area between the capital, Kathmandu, and the city of Pokhara, the US Geological ****** said.
Tremors were felt across the region, with further loss of life in India, Bangladesh, Tibet and on Mount Everest.
The government has declared a state of emergency in the affected areas.
A national police spokesman said that 970 people had died in the quake, and that more than 1,700 had been injured. At least 539 people were killed in the Kathmandu valley, he added.
Nepali Information Minister Minendra Rijal said there had been "massive damage" at the epicentre, from where little information is emerging.
"We need support from the various international agencies which are more knowledgeable and equipped to handle the kind of emergency we face now," he said.
The US is sending a disaster response team to Nepal and has released an initial $1m (£0.7m) to address immediate needs, the US aid agency USAid has said.

Google unveils Project Fi wireless service

This is some really interesting news to see from Google Google’s Project Fi isn’t a new network, but rather a new type of Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) that combines the networks of multiple carriers and leans heavily on WiFi hotspots to streamline the experience. Project Fi is now accepting invitation requests, but at this early stages dont expect anything special. After seeing how google fibre has turned out for the very few places I can see this getting a decent amount of hype behind it.

Biodata mouse

Silbersky wants to start building products for gamers that make them better at what they do, and the company’s first attempt is the NAOS QG. When you first see it, it's nothing special but when you have it in your hands you will see the small censors you’ll spot small metallic sensors poking out of the sides. These collect data on heart rate and galvanic skin response (Sweat) to try and work out how stressed you are while playing. Great for letting you know how fast your heart was beating in that clutch play you just had or after that really intense boss fight.

3DR Solo Smart drone

3D Robotics has braught us a new smart drone that packs 2 computers for $1000 this may seem like alot but compared to some of the other drones which are no where near as cheap as this it's actually quite a steal and brings Smart Drones to a average consumer level. It Solo's two computers one on the craft and one in the controller have enabled it to make some radical breakthroughs in autonomous flight and camera control, according to 3DR. Built on 1-GHz Cortex A9 ARM chips running Linux, the computers allow operators to preprogram the drone's flight path so they can concentrate on shooting video or stills from the unmanned aircraft system and not be distracted by flying it around.

Solo is the first drone to support full control of GoPro cameras and deliver live-streaming HD video to mobile devices or through its controller's HDMI port, 3DR said. Video can be delivered to the devices from up to half a mile from the point of takeoff. Overall this is some really new cool tech.

Skyrim paid mods. The end of PC Gaming ?

If you have even looked at anything involving steam these past few days you would have seen the massive backlash over a new program steam has put into place that allows modders to upload paid mods. The reason people have struck out at this is because it totally runs the ethics of modding which is supposed to be a free experience created with the love to improve a game not for money and this is one of the many things PC gaming holds to heart and why many people switch to PC gaming over consoles but now with this new service it lumps more costs onto the already stupid amount of DLC packs.

Don't get this twisted these people protesting are not against giving modders money this is just the wrong way to go about it since value gets a very large cut of the profits these mods make and this overall feels like a cash grab.

I think auto-correct made "Valve" into "value" in your post. Otherwise, it seems error free.
