For anyone following i managed to delete everything i deemed unnecessary it was a mess of objects. I just have the base.
Ok i have exported the oil rig map it is in .obj, how would i go about measuring the dimension of this map to make a identical map for a different game(unreal engine 3) or is it possible to convert the .obj file into a type UE open. the game i want to make a replica map for is killing floor 2. btw the combat arms section is dead, i thought this section would never die. i've had good memories RIP CA.
here is a update. managed to get oil rig exported to the SDK but at first it WAY to huge, it went past the borders.
downscaled it .5 and added a modular mesh for size reference and i still felt it was way too big plus it would align itself to the center so i redid everything
got it centered in 3ds max first then exported and the map came out much better and much smaller, it was 6 meters long
so i upscaled it by 3 and i think this is the semi good size. Its now 27 meters long. the stairs walk way is about 9 meters wide and the actual stairs is 3 meters
If anyone has a much better and faster way to do this PLEASE CONTACT ME lol i know we have some badasses in here

Nice work, I really enjoyed that map. I'd be surprised if there is anyone left to help haha.
