yes packet editing is illegal but u wont get put in jail...u can look on google for ways to packet edit

as far as i know packet editing is just as bad as hacking...
i recommend you use winpro packet editor
should work but boring and tedious
NOTE: dont even bother tryin to use cheat engine it wont work all information is kept server side
