Problem with new monitor lagging
So a week ago i bought a acer K242HL monitor, i used to use an old sony tv to paly (using HDMI). The thing is that the new screen don't have hdmi so i have to use DVI.

The problem is that, I can't play games without lag, on PUBG and R6S i used to have 60 fps with gight settings, (i have a gigabyte 1050 nvidia), and now i can't even play cs:go because it lags a lot.

Do you guys know what might be the problem? I have tryed changing resolution and it don't helps.

Thank you all! Also, sorry for my english :S

If anything you should be getting better performance in your games, make sure you have updated your NVIDIA Drivers and have updated Both NVIDIA GeForce Experiance and the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Then use GeForce Experiance to auto apply recommended settings

What's the size of your old screen compared to the new one? Screen size plays a big role when it comes to performance. Say you had a 720p screen, now you got a 4k screen, you have no hope playing games at the frame rate you used to play them at.

Well that'll do it. The GPU may not be good enough to run games on high. Try turning graphics to low (or lower.)

I am running them all on very low, I think it mightbe the CPU, it's an i5-3470. Also lowering the resolution don't work.

I don't think its the CPU if it run better before. I also use DVI and I have high FPS so that can't be the problem. Probably your PSU can't supply enough energy?

Yeah that's the only way but I would recommend you to visit a local PC Store or a friend so you exchange the PSU with a working one and see if it works then.
