Absolutely yes.
Downloaded a game off piratebay, and I went to the user with a VIP tag; not sure if it really makes a difference but haven't had any bad downloads in the past. Anyways, its a steam game and it has what I assume is a cracked version of "steam_api64.dll", which makes windows defender go nuts saying it's a trojan. Virustotal has it listed as a bunch of things, and the fact that AVG/Avast (the biggest AV softwares?) say it's clean makes it seem like a false positive.
Not much experience with torrenting games, anyone have any idea if this is anywhere near normal?
Here is the Virustotal for it.
Edit: Might I add; the game runs with the skidrow .dll just fine, and then when the original .dll is there it just opens up steam.

Wouldn't trust it, to many negatives
theres a lot of legit packers ull get familiar with them. Higher seed count = more trustworthy.

I've got a few from Skidrow (No Mans Sky, couldnt find it anywhere else so just had to chance it) a while back but I normally just use nosteam. Website has annoying ads popup when you click on something but the torrents actually work well.
When I was pirating games myself, always looked for a skidrow source with high seed count and plenty of comments to verify.

Always shoot for high seed count and comments are your friend in determining legitimacy of crack.
Just set a system restore date and go with the best one so you have a fall back plan if you get fucked
Piratebay is full of ratters lel. I mean why make stuff free and not gain when you can rat and gain.
Goal: Reached 1000+ Rep (YeY)
A rat on your computer can steal sensitive data of your computer while you are playing the game (could be while not playing the game, even, not entirely sure).
OP:
I used to torrent bunch of stuff, now I see no worth of doing so and risking destroying my computer with cracked stuff, its safer to buy the game and refund it if you don't like the game

It is safe, from my experience. And I have downloaded tons of games from them.
Just read all the comments and check what people have to say. If that torrent has convinced you, download it. If not, just keep searching until you find something you're ok with.
