Get a scholarship, a job, and stop taking your parents money and you'll be able to do w/e you want.
For me, it doesn't matter what profession you choose, as long as you have a passion for that subject.
If you seriously do not like Electrical Engineering, tell him that your not going to do well in this field of study, and its not a field that you would like to pursue in the rest of your life.
But Electrical Engineering has somewhat to do with computer hardware. You can double major in both subjects and you get two in one!

I was put in the same position as you, I decided to get a job. Once I buy my new PC, I'm gonna start saving for tafe... I've already paid for next years course
youd be surprised how much money the government will give you for school depending on your racial background, household income, and intelligence
if all else fails pretend to be depressed and suicidal >.>
edit: you could also sign up for the military for school
i have a brother inlaw that joined the navy to go to school for nuclear physics
hes getting 30k cash upfront and going to college for free along with getting a weekly pay check
