    VMware Operating System Not Found

I downloaded the Windows XP .iso from here: Download details: Windows XP Service Pack 3 - ISO-9660 CD Image File. I enter the key, and it begins installing. However, it never gets far, because I get an error saying: "PXE-MOF-E53: No boot filename received - so, PXE-MOF is exiting Intel PXE Rom. Reason being, Operating System not found.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That error message is usually presented when the harddrive has died

In this case since you're using vmware thats probably not the case, let me look for a fix

Which harddrive are you referring to? Because I'm pretty sure my actual computer laptop's harddrive is fine, since it's a month old haha.

Obama seeing you're really good with tech related subjects I have a Dell 1525 Laptop and one day while playing crossfire i recieved a blue screen. Then i rebooted...After rebooting a black screen comes up saying,
"internal hard drive not recognized. Please reseat the drive or press F1 to retry F2 for boot options F3 for bios..."
Not the exact thing but just something similar though.
Ive been told that my hard drive is dead and i should look around for another one but is their any way to fix it?
    Looking forward to a reply

Sounds like you need a battery change. How long have you had that computer?

Try clearing the cmos. You should have a "clear cmos" option somewhere

    Reply back if it works.

theres a couple of ways to clear it. Easiest would be to just take out the battery for 20 minutes I think(maybe 30, check google).

wouldn't do anything though until I knew exactly what was wrong.

    Hold on

Ive checked BIOs and their are none and i think you've helped me solve the reason why it is broken...Going through BIOs i found that my laptop is not charging even while the charger is in but it still runs off its energy o.o I looked at battery info and its at 0% so i think im going to try to take the battery out for 30 mins ill double check the time.

Just checked it and it says to,"ATTEMPT TO LEAVE IT ON FOR 24 HOURS" and theirs nothing else on their so what should i do? 30 mins or just wait 24 Hours and hopefully it will be solved?
