i think that the admin should choose. the members should not apply for it. because choosing is better than applying well let me be a moderator if thats the case. i always wanted to be a moderator in this site. thats why im getting reputation but im not getting lol.

in my opinion, choosing / selecting a member for mod status should be done with crucial precautions, If I may suggest, There should be a variety of preconditions, like Age, manner, some programing experiences etc. picking a Desirable & Responsible mod wouldn't be easy so presenting them with a few questionaires would do a great deal

well GMods and mods arn't THAT powerfull. we have close to no controll over the rea forums, we can merge, move, close, and delete. ok we could delete everything but i think (not sure) admins can take it back.

it's ADMINS you got to be realy carefull about. they can change the untire forum

Untrustworthy mods might sabotage the forums that could completely ruin the site
