How do I save a file as java?

I think you can save it, and right click and open as a java file ?

I meant, I have this giant code thing. and i made a new txt document posted the code and renamed extension to java but it no work

click all files
save as "NameHere.java"

i did ^ but its just a no icon thingy and it wasnts me to chose what program to use
