Help minecraft singleplayer crash!

So i need help and this issue has only happened recently like in the past few weeks. And i have been playing for 3 months now.
So the problem is that every time i play minecraft my game stops and after 2mins my computer crashes and goes into safe mode and says that my video card has stopped working properly!!!

It only does it on minecraft no other game and only happened recently!!!

Anyone any ideas on a fix???

reinstall java

Blow out all your hardware, and make sure all the fans are working.

As said by Jailbroken, reinstall Java.
Maybe reinstall your graphics card driver.

Have you changed anything since it's started working. For example before I upgraded my card it would crash when I started it up. Is it your video driver that's messing up? Is there even a crash report when it crashes? Post the crash report if there is one I'm sure someone will help you in more detail then.

EDIT: Yeah, I re-read your post. Your video driver probably can't handle it, I suggest you post this on the minecraft official forums as well.

well i u***** keep the same settings so i havnt changes anything but when it first started to happen i got bsod(blue screen of death) a few times then i went into safe mode

and when it started to happen i download a texture pack called newcraft texture pack
and newcraft city its self
and when it crashed i would restart my computer and one of those messages came up saying that you have just recovered from a serious error tell this microsoft

This problem appears for me when i change from XP to 7.
Try to reinstall the java.
