    I could probably pull that with a liquid cooling system hooked up. Atm I got a 2600k which does 3.8GHZ without breaking a sweat (auto oc). I could do 4.8 if I wanted, but I cba dealing with instability.

    5.25ghz got unstable for a while.
    I lowered it to 4.5Ghz for now.
    I took off the thermal guard for my Sabertooth P67.

    You can do 4.8 with air cooling as well, just not stock. And 4.8 will be stable as long as you're beefing up the voltage exponentially.
