so....i was playing with my gpu drivers, and i turned my gpu fan to 56%, i clicked apply and then i heard a loud noise... i was like "holy fuck" so i tried to go to the default settings but my mouse went out of battery, i thought my gpu is gonna expload lol..... that scared the crap out of me, but anyway... could it really happen ? if i left the fan go this crazy for long time would it expload or something ?

i leave mine on 99% sometimes sounds like a jet taking off
i go 100% at all times because my motherboard only supports 2 chassi fans and im using one for my H60
i really need a new motherboard
Between my four 120mm case fans,
my new CPU fan for my heatsink
and my GTX 460's Fan
All on 100%
It sounds like a nuclear warhead missile taking off.

I've put my fan speed to 85% for my graphics card and I had no problem.
My PC actually exploded 3 years ago. There was this switch saying 'DO NOT TOUCH' and it was like a 225 or 180 volt switch. I put it on 225 and it exploded...
