How charitable. I'm sure the kids in Africa would much appreciate people, who are well off, fasting themselves. It's much more helpful than, you know, actually sending money to various charities that actually strives to improve the health and safety of those who are starving. Zakatul Fitr is mandatory for all abled muslims. It's usually $7-$15 per person.

The money is distributed to the poor around the world. Our local mosque alone raised $100k for this purpose.
