Since I'm skinny as fuck I want to grow some muscles, especially biceps because mine are very small. I don't have any materials to work out so I had to be creative, I filled a chest with a handle with my schoolbooks. It weighs 8 kilos now. I just lift it till the handle is at my chests heigth and then I lift it down. I do this like 15 times with each arm. But idk if this is effective. I also do like 20 push ups a day, but again idk if that's effective. Do you guys know if those methods are effective? If not; what should I do then?
tl;dr: How to train my muscles, especially my biceps?

Push ups could do it
Well your gunna eat a little bit more than usual, like protein which will fill the gaps after you exercise giving you more muscle. Since your body is ectomorph try to do less cardio since you don't want to get more skinnier. Try simple workouts, like pushups, curl ups, then after a week start advancing. Try doing a long term exercise which is better. It'll take you a while before you start seeing results but at the end it'll be worth it.

Push ups work your back muscles. I doubt they'd help much with biceps.
Just drink a fuck ton of protein shakes. You'll be ripped in a week.
