How to update your 1.6.2 client to 1.6.4 [SIMPLE]

So this is how you update your client from 1.6.2 to 1.6.4

Skills needed:
Common sense

1.First you wanna open up eclipse then go to ThreadOnlineConnect and find this.


change the 74 to 78.

2.Then go to GuiSlotServer and find this.


change the f == 74 to f == 78.

Then find


Yet again change the 74 to 78

3. Go to NetLoginHandler


Find this and change 74 to 78(I already pretyped the 74's to 78)

4. Find ThreadConnectToServer and find this.



Pretyped again just change the 74 to 78 and your done!

U know u could just update to 1.6.4 by using the "Latest Update" User in the Launcher.
Or also u could use Protocol on your Hacking/Griefing Client and type 78.
No need so much works.

Or just add a variables called protocolNum and make it changeable via a button :P that way 1.6.2 and 1.6.4 both work :P

Not really.. If button is pressed, set x to be 78, if its pressed again, set to 74.. Have a display to show which version. Also a neat feature would be is to only show the servers with the same version.. IE - if client is 1.6.2 then only show 1.6.2 servers, etc.. However not sure if servers do give these details, havent looked at it

Yeah, I think it would be possible cause when I looked up '1.6.2' in eclipse and saw the server was returning some kind of version string or just check the protocols and then draw a slot

What he meant was using a feature already implemented into a 1.6.2 hacked client. It's a common in clients such as Energizer to let somebody input their own protocol version, however this is glittchhaayyy.
