DarkComet can be removed in some instances with the program released by the maker of DC himself. I found a like to it on CNET: DarkComet RAT Remover - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com
I would also recommend Malwarebytes anti-malware, it's free and works really well, can take a while though: Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

If I remember correct, you can basically watch what your "victims" do, like a teamviewer (also possible to turn on people's webcam)

well its like using your pc pretty much depends on the Rat..

What do the RAT program do?

It stands for Remote Administration Tool, in a commercial scene its actually not harmful. Many companies use this sort of program to remotely monitor and control a computer that they own. Others use it as a malicious tool though which they have complete access to your computer. I was once on the HiJackThis team on HF and there hard to remove sometimes.
