Borderland 2

Is this game worth buying on steam?
If yes why?
Also should i buy it on steam or just pirate it.
Many of my friends have been talking about this game recently, i really need to know if its worth it.
One more thing, should i play borderlands 1 fist or is it ok if i start with 2?

It's a badass game, playing 1 would help for background info. but as far as gameplay. not really.

I played Borderlands and it was very fun. Played Borderlands 2, passed it completely twice! I would recommend you pirate Borderlands 2 and wait for Borderlands Pre-Sequel to come out so that you will understand what is going on
