Approval is a pretty long process because not only do they scan the file using many different malware scans, but they must also decompile the file to make sure nothing malicious bypassed the scan undetected. Without the process we would be much more susceptible to viruses and malware. Even if the OP is trusted they still have to preform this check for the safety of everyone on this thread.

would you like it if people keep saying plz approve or asking it in a passive way... it does annoy the mods in this section. there has been history of mods delaying the approval because people keep asking.

EDIT: also i would guess they like it when people loose hope on a client and thats when they approve :3
