Yes a vanilla server is supplied by minecraft.net and this client seems to be working fine for me

I'm not an expert modder or anything, but to me it looks like the CJB mod is crashing your client. This happened to me once, so I deleted the CJB files in "Mods" and "Resources" and it worked fine. As for the client, its pretty good.

Let that is godmode it sets your player as dead so you can not be attacked.There is no godmode were you can walk around

Stupid question, where do i put the file? When I try to run the.jar file it comes up invalid or corrupt file.

Place the .jar, in the bin folder. Delete the old minecraft.jar and replace it with this. Dont run it. Just start minecraft.
