Depending on what kind of exam it is, you can pull some pretty tricky stuff off.

For instance, if it is more of a history/reading exam, and you don't have to worry about time constraints, you can record audio of you or the professor and play it back on your ipod. Then, run your headphones from your ipod through your (long-sleeve) shirt to one of your hands. A.K.A the headphones are resting by your wrist under your coat. If you need hints from the audio, just rest your head on your hand so that your ear is near the headphones concealed in your shirt.
