Read my post. No, christians are NOT getting persecuted by muslims in egypt.
The group that is getting persecuted is the muslim brotherhood.
Other than that, christians are egyptians just like every other.
The egyptian orthodox church supports egypt, its army, and its people fully.
Christians are egyptians just like muslim christians.

@Martin Johnson I was going to say "You know a lot about Egypt for an American." But nvm, I saw your post.
@RJ I don't live in Egypt, I live in the United Arab Emirates. People killing, raping, and burning churches are a group called The Muslim Brotherhood. They are heartless people who think they would go to heaven for doing these things. You can read more about them here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_...rhood_in_Egypt They raise the flag of Al-Qaeda which is a terrorist organization.
The world understands Muslims the wrong way. Normal Muslims love Christians, support them, defends them.

I've encountered "The Muslim Brotherhood" irl. You have no need to explain anything to me. I was being facetious...
END THE FED
You've been mislead then. @Martin Johnson what he said is true. We treat each other as brothers and sisters. Muslims aren't quite committed to that but good ones are (Not EXTREME ones). I myself am an Egyptian Muslim. I've never disrespected any person for his religion and I respect the Christian Egytpians waaaaaay more than the Muslim ones. I've got enough evidence to prove that they deserve more respect. Now as for the churches part, they did burn them but I wouldn't totally call them Muslims. Why? Because simply our religion teaches us the opposite of this. (could still provide evidence if required). Those were rent "mercenaries" or trouble-makers, whatever you wish to call them. Poor people living in the street. Found some good money for burning shit and getting away with it, so why not! They even burnt down some museums, which ofcourse is irrelevant to religions.
Not to be bias or anything, but no religion are better then each other..
There are extremist in every religion.

Scientology has extremes. They believe it is OK to do bad things for the greater cause. They intimidate those against them. They view those that are against them as "evil". Now these aren't basic principles of the scientology religion, however these characteristics have been adapted by their churches over the years. See all these things I mentioned are present in every other religion, I'm just trying to show you that scientology has them same as every other religion. I remember i read an article written by a former scientologist on extremes in scientology. I just forget where it is now
Do I even need to tell you about how extreme hindus are? Now same as most other religions, there are few violent teachings in hinduism. However several hindus have taken a trip down extremism lane. Look up Saffron Terror. If that's not convincing enough, research all the attacks that hindus have made on minorities in india such as christians and muslims.
Buddhist extremist. Now this one I can agree on. But Buddhism isn't really a religion. I mean it is and it isn't at the same time. I lean more towards a philosophy than a religion. However, like every other religion there are extreme buddhists. Look at Burma and while once again these attacks aren't influenced by buddhist teachings, they are a result of buddhism being a "religion". Also this https://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/21/wo...anted=all&_r=0
What am i trying to say here? I'm trying to say that the nature of religion causes extremism to rise and things like the things that happened in burma to happen(even from a religion as peaceful buddhism).

Difference between Extremist* and extremes.
I mean all the abrahamic religions have "extremes" by default.
Yeah umm in your post you said extremist. You were talking about exteremists which is why I responded.
Also read my last sentence.
I said the nature of ALL religions lead to extremes. The extremes don't have to be present in the religion to actually rise.
Having a problem with the english.
Extremist are the people. Aka terrorist.
Extremes are well, teaching dangerous material.
