only take off the etc. folder the files hosts, hosts.ics and Imhosts.sam, like said in the previous post.
But you really can't be helped if you say that you don't have any 'compatibility' settings for each .EXE file
Just go here and there you get all the assistance needed for your 'compatibility' issue...
sorry i can't help you any further then this.. try to reinstall crossfire and maybe it just might work. but uninstalling completely even the SGinterative folder. It's really weird... try to google it, you may find a solution. I already tried but can't seem to find a similar problem as this...
