(Important) Getting rid of your keylogger if you downloaded maximo's hack!

The files have been save into this directory "C:\WINDOWS\system32\conf" they are hidden though...here is what you have to do so you are able to see and delete them.

1. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\conf (conf is a hidden folder)

2. Go to tools - folder options - view

3. uncheck "hide unprotected operating system files" (under hidden files and folder click "show hidden files and folders" if you want to see what has been logged, there should be a file that you can open with notepad.

4. Keylogger files should be shown and you should be able to delete them ^^

Edit: The file is called WinHelper.exe.exe

guys i seached the program, I COULn't find the file called logs.dat i did have like 15 files in the win32 and also i downloaded the fake hacks about 3 times yesterday

you forgot to unhide all your files/folders.

Valik haha im 14 to but this is fixable it was made in 1998 and has been changed to reinstall itself. but it is in the registry to so all we have to do is find the other file. I need some help 2. I have my firewall stopping it from getting in the startup and sending to maker but if you can do that for now you should be fine for awile.

umm yeah follow the directions first posted to find it but finding it is not the problem right now it is tracing the file back.

Um guys 1 more thing how do i do a system restore if thats even possible? i mean i dont exactly remember when i downloaded the fake VIP hacks i think it was either this morning or yesterday morning... If you can please make clear instructions on how to do a system restore to 3 days ago. and please hurry b,c the keylogger already messed wit my mouse and my cd opener and its pissing me off.

on xp its go to your start menu, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore. but this virus knocked my system resore out.

From some reason my system restore to may 4th doesnt work it says that there were no changes made but thats total b.s b.c i remember on may 4th i dint have programs like injector and spy doctor and soldier front i downloaded these today i mean WTF? can it be that the keylogging bch is messing wit it?

i think the keylogger is messing with the whole comp im afraid to turn it off... so i wont. but we need somone to find that last file on everyones computer.

it's not a keylogger. get a good antivirus and pray, because this is a remote access trojan. and boot in safe mode.

it found the file and removed it for me

more info what did you use to make it work? i mean registy fix or just the cleaner itself
