Using Steam with your hacked client [Windows/Mac]

I have a problem.... i put the .swf in the location: C:\Users\<MyUsername>\AppData\Roaming\RotMG.Produc tion\Local Store
and i deleted the end .swf .
What now? when i start steam nothing happen....
it only start up the normal client without hacks...
i use windows

For me it worked some time ago but right now i have problems with directx on RotMG steam but i have the newest dunno why i have this fucking problem :S

so i would test it but cant because of that damn directx error.

I was getting a weird error while trying to work this out so I thought "Why not just delete it and reinstall Realm?" Well it doesn't come back after you reinstall the game. So how can I fix this?

Try going to Library in Steam, where your games are,

right click on Realm of the Mad God,
go to properties,
go to Local Files,
and select Verify Integrity of Game Cache...
restart Steam,
and try again.

I was getting a blank box showing up with no text in it and nothing would happen, and figured this was some error box because it wouldnt even go to Loading screen. After doing the verify it now goes to Loading screen but gets stuck there because I'm banned. None the less its a better sign than not.

Im on Mac by the way, not that it should matter.

hey im just wondering, i've downloaded a hacked client and replaced the original swf file in the steam install file, now it wont let me buy gold or use the ingame steam community, will this fix the problem? or is there a fix for the problem?
