Sections Suggestions

Lol, sure, because you know, we're packed to the rafters with people whom are section dedicated, helpful, active and from all over the globe ready to apply. 9.5/10 its random tag hunters, noobs, or people you've never even seen before applying. Pepper in a few recycled staff in the most popular sections, and of course the usual suspects (eg:Royce) and you got applications. That's just for 1 minion. Then when you do ask for a certain location/timezone you get people applying from other places and times, and all claim they stay up late/wake up early and are just as good.

It's nice to come up with pretty ideas, and in a perfect world things would work as planned or suggested. However, it doesn't. People are a complicated business, with complicated lives. Things can change in a day, and sometimes in an hour. That is what the report system is for, and why they're allowed at least 24 hours to handle their section, or if people in that section are semi-intelligent or care enough, for them to report things and have GMs+ handle them.

But sure, feel free to keep coming up with genius ideas that have assuredly never been thought of before, or have been attempted, and is not currently a sticky in a staff section.

Steam section gets threads that are up for days unless I report them and/or tell Raple/Symm. I've had to pm @Symmetrical 3 times over the course of 2 days about a specific section (Garrys Mod). I understand that Raple has 11 sections and that's why I try and help him out as much as I can with the steam section.

Lets go through a brief history of the steam section:
Antipathy and Symmetrical watched over the steam section.
Steam section was complete and utter shit.
Antipathy resigns, Raple becomes minion of the steam section.
Although Symmetrical was still a moderator of the steam section, it only became better when Raple became a minion.
Raple and Symmetrical watch over steam section.
Does the cycle continue?

Lets hope not.

I would like to point out like what Trollaux said that Raple has a lot of work. Many minions have a lot of sections to look after and the members in those sections bug them and I would know because in the Realm of the Mad God section, people ask Lovroman and Raple to approve their clients or whatever. I mention them to move a thread or close it if it is needed because some people bump 5 month old threads in it and to prevent it I just mention them and they decide whether or not. To imagine all minions going through this, I think another Minion is needed (not tag hunters because they never do their work..) to help out especially in those bigger sections like the Steam section and to see 2-3 minions just resigning makes me think that we need a few more.

I find the timing of this funny, posted just an hour before Symmetrical randomly sends me a PM saying YOU should be minion in that section. One that is pretty much dead and possibly dying further, I might add. Like I said in my post. At least 24 hours to response, if you care as much as you seem to, then report it via the report button, right away. @ mentions galore doesn't help anything, and neither does harassing the section staff or sending random PMs to people who may or may not even be available during that time. So basically people have two choices either wait for the section staff to stop by, or if you're dying for whatever has been leeched that day, report it so that a GM or above can look into it.

If you think someone is doing a poor job as a minion/mod then my PMs are open. However when that same person is after their job, I take it with a grain of salt.

Anyway, I believe the main concern of the OP was addressed by several people, and while it is a pretty plan, logistics behind it are very flawed.
