It is indeed a large part of their culture, and has been for a long time. If I'm correct, they even decorate their houses or other items WITH rice on certain events they hold. To say rice is not apart of thier culture you;d have to be pretty blind, or making assumptions yourself.
If you're talking about Canadians or Americans who immigrated over to Canada or the US of A from Asian countries, then I assume rice is still apart of their culture. Although it may have died as they reproduced in a country with a different culture.
I think this thread is a race war waiting to happen, and it should be closed.
