I would agree with t0b1, it this was a couple years ago.
But nowadays I think they're pretty much on par with each other.
I used both, I never been little happy with AMD, if you are looking for some cheaper take some older Nvidia instead garbage AMD card which is only made for mining, mostly. I will say Nvidia is better, there are no choices, AMD has cheaper cards but useless for enjoyable gaming. Only if you are true AMD GPU fan and you will pay a lot or put a few AMD cards instead just taking one Nvidia and enjoy! And like T0B1 Said, AMD got better low-priced cards, that is true, but you also can take some older Nvidia older card, which is I guess better, have no idea, I used AMD and don't like it in any aspect.
my AMD pc heats up my room really fast nvidia i think dont produce as much heat and i would like to make the switch someday
Used to be Nvidia , but AMD is really stepping up right now.
People say AMD for lower end but idk, linus did a video on it the other day
Amd is great for low end, and they have one decent high end, but they really suck for midteir cards, but they have good software
i've only own amd personally, but i have used some of my friends computers that have nvidia cards. i think nvidia is a little better performance wise, but sometimes the're so close together that the price difference really makes no sense.
i'm not a hardcore gamer so i don't mind spending a little less for some average performance
