What's RotMG like now?

I was crazy about this game a few years ago... I started in like 2010 and stopped one or two years ago. What's changed? Should I come back again?

That's a personal thing, if you had fun in this game and have people to play with then come back if you have enough free time to waste.
But the game is not getting any updates anymore and Kabam is squeezing the money out of this game.
RotMG is the game that Kabam does not care about anymore.
As told it's a game to play with other people, if you have fun then go ahead and play it ^^

This I agree with. I find it really hard to play the game for long consecutive periods. I always have to "quit" and come back a few months later when I'm ready again.

this game has no goals for you to set once you have multiple characters, unless you consider grinding the same event mob over and over for an arbitrary piece of gear

who would slave themselves away for 1000 tomb counts, sure they are goals but this game doesnt have any meaningful goals once you get some good characters
