Quandary's Texture Pack

About:

The Quandary texture pack for Minecraft is designed to act as a simple replacement to the original Minecraft textures, not a major overhaul like the Painterly Pack or Doku's RPG texture pack, both beautiful texture packs you may wish to consider. Quandary, instead, uses the original textures Notch created as a base and adds slightly more fidelity to the terrain, improving the visibility of world blocks. In other words, two players playing on the same server will be able to experience the same "feel" even when one is using the Quandary texture pack and the other is using the default textures.

Installation:

1. Close Minecraft.
2. Open minecraft.jar using WinRAR (WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files).
NOTE: On XP this is usually found in: c:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\.minecraft\bin
On Vista/Win7, it's usually in: c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\roaming\.minecraft\bin

3. Drag and drop all files and directories in the Quandary Folder in the ZIP into minecraft.jar

4. Close WinRAR.

5. Open Minecraft.

Please note:

The Quandary texture packs do not replace every graphic in the game.
If you have previously installed another graphics pack with other graphic assets,
they may not be replaced by installing Quandary. Those assets will still appear in
your game. It is suggested, if you want a clean install, to delete the "bin" folder
where you install the texture packs and then re-launch Minecraft. It will download
the graphics again and then you will need to simply follow the directions in this
text file.
